I,
Steven C. Brown, am the author and creator of the various things found on this website. I've had a strong imagination my entire life and that has fueled my
desire to make things. This website stands as a collection for all of the random stuff I've worked on over the years. I am 39 years old and live in California.
During the later half of the 90's I found myself playing games online a lot more than the traditional single player games. I was just online a lot in general.
In 1999 I decided it would be fun to try out one of my many "free" website services that were all over the web. I felt a website would be a great way to share
some of the many things I have created over the years. I found a free website service that I liked well enough in Freeservers.com. On July 22nd, 1999
Steven's Game Store was born. Many of the early games featured on this site were up on Steven's Game Store first. That site was
initially made to house game files created by anyone to be downloaded by anyone. It never really took off. I didn't put much effort into it. I would only update
the site a handful of times before my final update to it on May 19th, 2000. It was a very simple site with a few pictures and lots of text. Naturally, since I
had no money of my own yet, the site also featured a lot of ads. Amazingly, that site is still up running to this day, sitting there idle for nearly 21 years now.
After a couple of years I had the itch to have a website again. But instead of trying to salvage Steven's Game Store, I decided to create a whole new website entirely.
The web address of my original site was a bit longwinded so this time about I decided to streamline it. I used my initials and selected a shorter domain name from a
list of choices given to me. On October 19th, 2002
SCB Net went online. From there, the updates to this site are clearly laid out
on the main page, but the most significant change came on September 9th, 2006 when, by virtue of having a job, I was able to get rid of all of the ads on my site
once and for all! While my first website contained content made by people other than myself, I decided SCB Net would be reserved for content made by me.
