Grand Canyon Visit, March 26th, 2018.
I took another trip with my Mom up to the Grand Canyon before she left Arizona. The park was very crowded on this Monday and it was very difficult to find a place to park.
The day started out cool and mostly cloudy and quickly turned cold and snowy
after just 45 minutes or so of being in the park. We did get some good canyon shots before it clouded over and the snow moved in. There were also quite a few Elk
wandering around within the crowds of people. They were neat to see up close.

On our way out we stopped for food at Wendy's in nearby Tusayan where it was also snowing.

After nearly an hour trying to wait out the snow we decided to leave. It did clear slightly for this final shot but the weather radar showed more snow moving in.

The lookout parking area was empty when we arrived but it got a bit busier with people enjoying the snowfall.

Grand Canyon Trip, April xx, 200x.
Here are pictures from my trip to the Grand Canyon along with my Mom and Grandma. We left Phoenix around 6am, got to the canyon around 11am,
left the canyon around 3:30pm, and got back to Phoenix around 8pm. It was sunny around Phoenix but there were fog and clouds around the mountains
in the morning. It was mostly sunny at the canyon until the mid afternoon when rain and thunderstorms started popping up. The winds were light
and the temperatures weren't bad, 45-55F. It only got a bit cooler with the rain and storms. The quality of these pictures is very poor as I was
using a low-quality web-cam from the early 2000's.

04-XX-200X Snow on the hills above us. We were up as high as 8000 feet but recent warm weather melted the snow before our arrival.
04-XX-200X We drove right under a thunderstorm somewhere in the mountains on our way back. Lots of rain, lightning, thunder, and hail was coming at us. The perfect weather!
This picture was taken about half a second before a large lightning flash and boom above us.
