Twin Worlds

Dreamt April 2003?





In this dream I am a little kid, around the age of five. I was following my
mom at night through the desert (I lived in a desert at the time) on a very
long walk to her house. She eventually had to pick me up and carry me since
five year olds aren't very good at walking long distances. It turns out her
house is located on another planet. There were two planets in this dream,
one being Earth and the other floating next to Earth. At some point we
traveled the gap and made it to the other planet.

This other planet was full of English people and had a large castle. This
was a very vivid dream and the surroundings and architecture of the castle
was amazing. My mom apparently worked for these people inside of the castle
and apparently had an important job to do. I found everyone here odd though
and they all seemed as if they were hiding something. Most of the people
seemed to be women and they were working on some kind of secret project.

We went inside and I stuck close to my mom and watched everything that was
going on. Eventually I said I had to go to the bathroom. My mom informs me
about some strange rules in this place where you have only a certain number
of "turns" to use the bathroom. She let me use one of her turns. I wandered
off by myself to go find the bathroom. Unfortunately it turns out the
bathroom was in a public courtyard and there was one toilet sitting right
in the middle of it with no privacy or anything. Needless to say it was a
rather uncomfortable situation.

After I did my business I continued to wander around a bit. On the steps
outside of the castle I noticed a drinking fountain. As I started walking
towards the fountain I noticed two female vampires. (I think I may have
watched some kind of vampire movie the day before. That's the only reason
I can think of to have something as unrelated to the rest of the dream as
vampires!) They stared at me as if seeing some easy prey.

I tried to keep my distance from them as I hurried my way over to the
fountain. They continued to stare at me until some other big vampire guy
came down from the steps of the castle. He immediately threw a knife at me.
I managed to catch the knife before it hit me and he just laughed and left
me alone after that. Having had enough exploring, I hurried my way back
inside of the castle.

Once inside I noticed everyone around seemed to be sad and upset over
something. I started to get very worried and scared that something bad had
happened to my mom since she wasn't there to greet me as I thought she
would be. Just then I looked over and saw a decapitated kid laying on the
floor (unfortunately the dream was still very vivid and the scene of the
dead kid was very graphic and disturbing). However, none of the people
around seemed to notice or care about the dead kid, they were apparently
upset about something else entirely.

I hurried off and eventually found my mom in some room. She was perfectly
fine and made no mention of anything being wrong around there. Throughout
the dream and especially now, the dark mysterious woman that was in charge
of the place would give me suspicious looks. She was up to no good and I
decided that I needed to figure out what exactly was going on around here.
Eventually I figured it out: These strange people were going to destroy
Earth and there wasn't much time left...

I then woke up.
