I don't remember how many years I spent on Diablo II and its expansion, but I ended up spending by far more time with that game than any other game I have. I have sinced retired from Diablo II (some months after 1.10 came out) but I still have many fond memories of the game. Recently I dug up an old mod I had created for the game. Just looking over my notes for that mod makes me almost want to play the game again.

Diablo II Remix: You Are What You Kill: Download [Diablo II Mod]
Version ? by Steven C. Brown. Last Updated in 2003.

I have yet to check and see if all of the parts of this mod still work or are as completed as the notes I found say they should be. However, assuming everything is as it should be, I will list the features and such for my only real mod project that I attempted for Diablo II. If my memory serves me well, there were several fun things about it. While I never finished the mod, I did get pretty far into it and what is completed should work. I believe it was created under the 1.10 patch. For those of you that know how to mod you should be able to figure out how to get the text files and patchstring files to work. For those that don't, you'll have to look it up online somewhere if you'd like to try the mod. I don't remember the details on how to get it to work anymore.

Features:
- All monsters have been relocated.
- Monster group sizes have changed.
- Added new special monsters.
- Replaced all set items with my own created set items. Each of my completed sets grants the wearer a different "state". (You change into the appearance of a monster.)
- Replaced all unique items with my own created uniques.
- Added in new magic prefixes and suffixes including "cursed" items. (attributes that reduce a stat.)
- Skills can be used in town.
- Allowance of rare charms.
- No skill cap.
- Removed diminishing returns on experience after level 70.
- Allowed more prefixes and suffixes on more items.
- High runes are easier to find.
- Hirelings level up faster.
- Mini-bosses added for special areas.
